Curnichjiolu Padovani — handcrafted Corsican knife in ram’s horn blood and carbon Damascus steel

This Curnichjiolu craft, realized by the knifemaker Corsican Manu Padovani, associates a handle one-piece in ram’s horn blood 12,4 cm at one blade in carbon Damascus steel of the 9,3 cm.

The handle retains the natural curvature of the horn, with light shades, dark areas and reddish marbling characteristic of this room. The blade presents the wavy and contrasting patterns of the Damascus, visible on both sides.

This folding knife takes over the traditional assembly called "“à capucine”", a friction system without spring or locking mechanism. It belongs to the family of Corsican knives to handle in horn, of which the Curnichjiolu is a characteristic expression.
