Any order made on the site implies that the customer has read and accepted these Terms and Conditions prior to the final validation of the order.
The applicable GTCs are those in effect on the date of the order.
2. PRODUCTS AND unique pieces
Couteaux-Corses.fr sells handcrafted Corsican knives and cutlery parts made in Corsica.
The essential characteristics of each piece are indicated on its product sheet: craftsman or model, type of knife, steel, materials, dimensions, weight when known, assembly, price and availability.
The knives offered on Couteaux-Corses.fr are unique pieces.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the part photographed is the one actually proposed for sale.
Natural differences in tint, veining, horn, wood, Damascus or finish are part of the characteristics of a craft piece and do not in themselves constitute a lack of conformity when they are visible or described before purchase.
A part sold is not reproduced.
Due to the unique character of the pieces and their possible simultaneous presence in the physical shop, an exceptional concomitant sale may occur. If an ordered part proves unavailable, the customer would be informed as soon as possible and any payments made would be fully reimbursed.
3. SALE FOR MAJOR PERSONS
The sale of knives on Couteaux-Corses.fr is reserved for the elderly of 18 years old.
By validating its order, the buyer certifies that he is a major.
Couteaux Corses® reserves the right to request proof to verify the buyer's age and to refuse or cancel an order if it is not possible to carry out such verification.
Certain knives may fall into category D as defined in the Internal Security Code.
The customer remains responsible for compliance with the regulations applicable to the acquisition, possession, wearing, transporting and use of the purchased knife.
4. PRICE
The applicable prices are those displayed on the site at the time of validation of the order.
Prices are expressed in euros.
Any delivery costs are indicated separately before the final validation of the order.
Each piece is invoiced at the price displayed during the order, subject to a manifest error.
Where the tax system applicable to the business so permits, the following shall apply:
VAT not applicable – Article 293 B of the General Tax Code.
For shipments outside the European Union or to territories subject to special formalities, customs duties, taxes or import charges may be claimed by local authorities. These amounts remain the responsibility of the recipient.
The customer must ensure that the legislation of the country of destination permits the import, possession and use of the ordered product.
5. ORDER
The customer selects the products he wishes to order and checks the contents of his basket before validation.
Prior to the conclusion of the sale, it can verify the essential characteristics of the products, their price, any costs and correct any input errors.
The final validation of the order results in a payment obligation.
An order confirmation is sent to the customer electronically.
This confirmation contains the main sales information.
Couteaux Corses® may refuse or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, in particular in the case of a product that has become unavailable, payment refused, prior payment unpaid, suspicion of fraud, impossibility to verify the majority of the buyer or legal impossibility to ship the part to the chosen destination.
6. PAYMENT
Payment is due upon order.
The available means of payment are indicated to the customer during the ordering process.
Electronic payments are processed by the payment providers offered on Couteaux-Corses.fr.
Order is prepared for shipment only after actual validation of payment.
In case of refusal or cancellation of payment by the banking institution or the provider concerned, the order may be cancelled.
7. DELIVERY
The products are delivered to the address indicated by the customer when ordering.
The delivery methods, their costs and the applicable deadlines are indicated before the final validation of the order.
Couteaux Corses® undertakes to comply with the time limit announced to the customer.
When no specific time limit is specified or agreed upon, delivery takes place within the applicable legal time limit.
The customer must verify the accuracy of the address communicated when ordering.
Couteaux Corses® cannot be held responsible for any delay or impossibility of delivery resulting from an erroneous or incomplete address provided by the customer.
8. RISK RECEIPT AND TRANSFER
The risk of loss or damage to the product is transferred to the consumer when the consumer takes physical possession of the property, unless otherwise provided by law.
Upon receipt, the customer is asked to check the condition of the package and the product.
In case of visible damage related to transport, it is recommended to make useful reservations with the carrier and to contact Couteaux Corses® quickly.
This recommendation does not limit the legal rights of the consumer.
9. RIGHT OF RETRACTATION
For purchases made at a distance, the consumer has 14 calendar days from the receipt of the goods to exercise his right of withdrawal, without having to justify his decision.
To exercise this right, the customer must inform Couteaux Corses® of its decision by means of a clear declaration or the standard form at the end of these Terms and Conditions.
The request should be addressed to:
Couteaux Corses®
3 Old College Street
20250 Corte – France
Email: couteaux.corses@gmail.com
After informing Couteaux Corses® of its decision to withdraw, the consumer must return the product within the statutory time limit.
The product must be properly packaged and protected from damage during transport.
Direct return costs remain the responsibility of the consumer.
10. REPAYMENT AFTER RETRACTATION
In the event of a valid withdrawal, Couteaux Corses® reimburses the amounts received for the order, including the initial invoiced standard shipping costs.
When the customer has chosen a mode of delivery that is more expensive than the standard mode offered, the corresponding supplement is not refunded.
Refund takes place within the legal period from the date of the decision to withdraw.
Couteaux Corses® may defer the refund until the product is recovered or until the consumer provides proof of shipment.
Unless otherwise agreed, the refund is made by the same means of payment as the one used during the order.
11. PERSONALIZED PRODUCTS
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods manufactured according to consumer specifications or clearly customized when the conditions laid down in the regulations are met.
This exception may include a knife specially engraved, modified or customized at the customer's express request.
The mere fact that a knife is artisanal or a unique piece does not remove the right of withdrawal.
12. STATUS OF RETURNED PRODUCTS
The consumer is responsible for the loss of value of the property resulting from manipulations other than those necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and proper functioning.
Due to the nature of the products, the knives must be returned in a sufficiently protective packaging to avoid damage during transport.
The absence of original packaging does not automatically remove the right to reimbursement.
13. LEGISLATIVE GUARANTEE
Couteaux Corses® is bound by the legal safeguards applicable to goods sold to consumers.
In particular, consumers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity under the conditions laid down in Articles L. 217 - 1 et seq. of the Consumer Code.
It also benefits from the warranty relating to the hidden defects of the thing sold under the conditions laid down in articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code.
The legal guarantee of conformity applies independently of any commercial guarantee that may be granted.
Given the unique character of some craft pieces, a strictly identical replacement can be physically impossible. This particularity does not deprive the consumer of the rights provided by law.
14. LIVING TRADE GUARANTEE
The knives marketed by Couteaux Corses® can benefit from a lifetime commercial warranty when expressly indicated on the site or on the part form.
This commercial warranty adds to and does not replace legal warranties.
Its implementation procedures are specified on the site and in the information accompanying the relevant document.
Couteaux Corses®-specific models benefit from a lifetime warranty.
They can also return once a year to the workshop for a complete and free revision according to the terms communicated by Couteaux Corses®.
The commercial guarantee cannot have the effect of reducing or excluding rights resulting from legal guarantees.
15. AFTER-VENT SERVICE

Telephone: + 33 ( 0 ) 7 71 86 30 59

All documents addressed for intervention must be made available in advance so that the return arrangements can be communicated.
16. RESPONSIBILITY AND USE OF COATERS
The customer is responsible for the use of the purchased knife as well as compliance with the regulations applicable to its detention, port, transport and use.
Couteaux Corses® cannot be held responsible for any use of the product contrary to law, safety rules or its normal purpose.
For any shipment outside France, it is up to the customer to check the applicable legislation in the country of destination.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall have the effect of excluding any liability or warranty that the law prohibits the professional from disposing of.
17. FORCE MAJEURE
No party may be held liable for a breach resulting from an event constituting a case of force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the Civil Code.
Where possible, the affected party shall inform the other party of the event and its consequences on the performance of the contract.
18. PERSONAL DATA
